Backyard Pumpkin Patch

This year a bunch of pumpkins popped up in our tomato garden.  Tony says it's because we composted last year's pumpkins, and their seeds stayed in the compost. Whatever the reason it made for a fun morning in our backyard pumpkin patch.

Tony let Leila pick out eight pumpkins.  The rest we'll get out next month, so they can keep growing and I can always have a porch filled with pumpkins!  She was excited to use the tools all by herself.

Leila kept putting the pumpkins in the wagon, but some little stinker kept throwing them out!

It was a great morning at the backyard pumpkin patch!

I can't believe you got that many!! so fun! we only got 2 (planted them on purpose) One is HUGE, one is small. They don't look like yours though, ours or weirdly shaped. So fun!

so fun!

we planted pumpkins in our garden last year and the kids were so thrilled to have their own pumpkins. i am not sure why they didn't plan them this year but they've been disappointed. i KNOW they will be in our garden next year.
