Mani Monday

First off, I want to say happy Memorial Day!! I hope you have all been having a great, long weekend with your family and friends, but still remembering the countless men and women who have lost their lives fighting for this great country of ours!

That being said, here's my failed attempt at a patriotic mani. The main color is Blagger by Butter London (c/o) and the white on the statement nail is Snow White by Zoya and the red is Fireberry by CND (c/o)

Close-up of the statement nail. (Sorry for the blurry phone pic - my big camera battery was dead.) I think part of the reason why the ombre didn't turn out so well is because I used a kitchen sponge instead of a makeup sponge. If you're interested in trying the sponge ombre nails, THIS looks like a great tutorial.

Last week had a ton of great link ups!! I had a hard time choosing, but I want to feature Nail Art Couture's Chinese Dress-inspired nail art. Wowza!

Now it's your turn to link up!! Did you take some time for yourself this week for nails or toes? Let's see it! After you've linked up make sure to visit some of the other fab links and say hi!! PS - we'd love it if you grabbed a button! Happy linking!

Just stumbled across your blog and am obsessed with this link-up! My nails are usually pretty boring but I think your ombre idea is genius! Might have to try it out :) New follower!
