Bottom, Colorful Smoky Eye Tutorial (GREAT for hooded eyelids!)

*I posted this pic yesterday on Instagram and Facebook and it got a really great response, so I thought I'd post it here too with a more detailed breakdown...*

I have hooded eyes, which simply put means my upper eyelids are puffy and kind of droop down. Womp womp. I've done hundreds of different, really gorgeous eyeshadow looks on myself only to have it disappear when I open my eyes because of how they're shaped. Enter in the color smoky eye, on the bottom lids. It's simple, super quick and makes an impact!

For this particular look I used: Perfect Purple liner by Milani, Cassis eye shadow by Stila, Black Ebony Tightline eye liner by Laura Mercier.

Trust me when I say this is super easy. First thing's first:

1. Line your bottom lid with desired liner.
2. Sweep on a similarly-colored eye shadow. This will ensure that it doesn't look too perfect, even a bit messy. It will also keep your look in place ALL day long!
3. On your LOWER waterline (the pinkish fleshy line right below and above your actual eye ball) go over it with the same color you first lined your lower lids with.
4. Optional - on your upper waterline, gently stamp a black eyeliner. Black Ebony by Laura Mercier is by far my favorite Pricey but totally worth it.  HERE is a video on how to tightline. Takes practice, but once you get the hang of it it's simple. Oh, and you don't need the special "activator" - water works just fine!
5. Finish everything off with a coat or two of your favorite mascara and you're done!

Since this is a pretty bold makeup look I like to keep the rest of the face pretty clean. Minimal foundation, and blush, and a pretty nude lipstick is all you need!

Let me know if you decide to recreate this look, and if you have any questions!
