Because something has to change...

Here I am again. Another year gone by, another year unhealthy. Another year unhappy with how I look. How I feel. The size of my clothes. And worst yet, the example I'm setting for my girls. I wrote a very personal post on this very subject a couple years ago, and here I go again. I'm happy to say I am seven pounds lighter than I was when I wrote that post, but honestly, seven pounds in two years is ridiculous. In those two years I've gained and lost, gained and lost. Nothing too significant, but something HAS to change. Part of me wishes I could say I had a good reason, but the truth is, I don't. I'm lazy. I don't like to workout, and I really don't like healthy food. But I'm a grown up, and sometimes I have to do things I don't want to. I think I've finally come to that realization with myself. Sometimes I have to do things I don't want to, but these things will benefit me greatly in the long run.

So, I joined Weight Watchers. I know it's not everyone's favorite (my husband doesn't understand it, but this isn't his journey, it's mine.) I had my first weigh-in last Friday, and will see my first week's progress in just a few days. In addition to Weight Watchers, I'm going to try to cut way way back on processed foods. Even knowing how terrible they are, processed foods are pretty much my favorite. (And I know from past experience that I can still lose weight while eating processed foods - hello, Lean Cuisines!) I also plan to start meal planning (this will benefit not only me, but my family as well) and I'm going to start using my gym membership a lot more.

Again, I'm asking for your tips. Any clean eating, meal planning recommendations are MORE than welcome! (Pretty please add any helpful links, pinterest boards, etc. in the comments section or shoot me an email - glitteandglossblog@gmail.com) I thank you for taking the time to read, and for sticking around. I hope to update you guys more on my progress (even if it's not as quick as I hope!) <3
