Dublin 5k

On Sunday morning we all did the St. Patrick's Day 5k in Dublin. Tony got asked to run with his fire
department, so he asked me to bring Leila so we'd be there at the finish line when he was done. Well, Sunday morning (right before we left!) I decided that I'd do the 5k too. I've been walking every morning for a few weeks now, and thought it would be good to do. Tony ran with Ramon (Ramon was the third place finisher for the dogs!) and I walked with Leila. Let me tell you - it is SUPER hard pushing a jogging stroller, especially for 3+ miles with some good-sized hills. I am sore all over today, but still went for my morning walk. We ended up walking at a 15.8 minute pace per mile, which I was pretty proud of considering that I usually walk a mile in about 18 or 19 minutes. We would have been faster, also if we didn't have to stop five times for various photographers throughout the course to take pictures of my bundled up walking partner.

We all had a great time, and the next 5k we do will be the Mutt Strut!

Good Job! I bet Leila smiled for every picture taken. I hope Ramon got a foot bath or massage for coming in 3rd. Ruby send paws up to Ramon. gma

Congrats on your 5K! That is awesome, and what a great speed for walking with a stroller! I can only imagine how popular Leila was with all of the photographers. Too cute!

That is so awesome that you did the 5k. At least there was no devil child to deal with on this walk trying to steal Leila's toy. She looks too cute in her stroller!!!
