Self Esteem

There is nothing like a baby to boost your self esteem.  I love that the mere sight or sound of me can (and pretty much always does) make Gianna smile and coo, and kick her legs in excitement.

I'm savoring these moments, because I know that one day Gianna will turn three, roll her eyes at me and say "I wish daddy was home because he is so much more fun than you."

Sigh.  You really can't compete with a cool fireman daddy who brings fire hats and stickers to your whole class, and puts your carseat in his big, fun truck to do daddy-daughter errands.

I've got to start thinking of how to become to cool one.

Seriously! After about 2 years old, moms might as well not exist.

Yeah, don't bother. Just savor being the one they run to when hurt or tired or sick. That's soul warming too! My oldest daughter's name is Gianna Marie. :)
