Fourth of July

The Fourth of July is one of my very favorite holidays. What's better than celebrating our country with a big party filled with family and friends and tons of good food??

Tony informed me that the Fourth of July is "our thing" and this year we hosted our second annual BBQ for the holiday.

You know I love decorating for a party, so out front I had some shepard's hooks, with a mason jar, white flowers and some red + blue ribbon lining the walk way.

Things were kept simple - bubbles for the kids, a big, ol' slip 'n slide, and a hula hoop-off!

To minimize waste and maximize cuteness drinks were served in mason jars, with a tag stamped with their name, held on with air mail divine twine.

We had lots of great food including baby back ribs, pulled pork, smoked sausages, bbq pasta salad, classic potato salad, orzo pasta salad, corn on the cob, watermelon on a stick and more! (....and that's just the main course, you should have seen the appetizers!)

Then the desserts......red white and blueberry salad, party like it's 1776 trifle, petite vanilla cupcakes, let freedom ring pops, oreo truffles, rice krispie star kabobs and more. I don't think we've ever thrown a party without a ridiculous amount of food...

After everyone was thoroughly stuffed we did some sparklers and called it a night!

We couldn't have asked for a better day/night, better weather or better people to share the day with. Hope you all had a fantastic Fourth as well! xoxo!
