how to stretch a gel mani with glitter // mani monday

I've been rocking a gel mani for about three weeks now, and (quite frankly) am bored of it, but too lazy to take it off. The color was still looking ok, but the outgrowth was getting pretty bad SO, I decided to bling it up and add some glitter.

The sweet people at American Crafts were kind enough to send me some packs of their glitters, and I used dark gold from the Wow! Pop! Spark! collection (available only at Target) to create the look.

You will need:
-glitter
-nail polish (any color, since you won't see it)
-a piece of card stock to sprinkle the glitter over (that way you can easily pour excess glitter back into the container)
-top coat

First, paint a half moon on the bottom half of your existing nail polish. (Covers up the outgrowth perfectly!)

Then generously sprinkle the glitter on your nail, over the card stock. Tap your finger hard, so the extra glitter sitting around your nail falls off. Repeat on all nails, and add top coat.

Voila! Takes less than five minutes, and gives your manicure a whole new look!

What do you think? Is this a look you would wear? If so, please PIN it so others can see! I can't wait to see what you're wearing, so link up below and have a fantastic week!

xo!!
