Last weekend my friend Mel and I boarded a super early flight to Orange County for Blog Sugar. It was great to see Erin's smiling face picking us up bright and early as we headed to Julie's, where we all (plus some other amazing women) stayed for the weekend.
Before Blog Sugar itself we had lots of girl time - shopping, fancy drinks, staying up into the wee hours of the morning talking about everything and nothing. Then the morning of Blog Sugar we got our hair professionally blown-out at The Drybar. Sipping a mimosa while someone washes, massages and blow dries my hair? I could get used to that!
Then came the actual event. Walking in, everything was beautiful. Fun touches of pink and tangerine were everywhere and you could tell Rachel, Andrea and Jen put a ton of thought into every aspect of the conference. Blog Sugar is a faith-based blogging conference, and it was great to be with so many women who love God and love blogging. I got to meet so many blog friends, listen to amazing speakers and learn about the fabulous organization that Blog Sugar was supporting - Love 146. (Please take a minute to check out their website and help if you can. Being the mom of two little girls I felt compelled to help, and will continue to help this organization in any way I can.)
One of my favorite parts of Blog Sugar was getting to hang out with real-life friends, and meet some of the women whose blogs I've been following for years!
Us California girls taught this Kansas girl a new word - redonk. Short for ridonculous, obviously.

I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with Lindsey - we went shopping and to lunch on Saturday and she slept over at Julie's too. She is the sweetest!

read it, you should start now. She spent the weekend at Julie's too, so
