Happy Mani Monday! I am really excited to share this week's nails with you guys, I just love how they turned out! I first had on Saint by Zoya. It is a really gorgeous color - kind of a deep periwinkle, with a bit of opalescence. This polish went on fairly translucent with the first coat, but was complete opaque after the second. It wears beautifully!
A few days after polishing my nails, though, I received the most gorgeous clutch from Daisy Faye Designs and immediately wanted to try and mimic the beautiful fabric from the clutch onto my nail, and here's what I came up with:
Obviously not an exact match, but I'm pretty happy with them!
What are YOU wearing right now??

Happy Mani Monday, friends! I am wearing (and loving!) Olive for Green from OPI's Infinite Shine line. It's a gorgeous, cream olive green.
I added a random, little eyeball a couple days after I painted my nails and like how it looks except the little black paint line :/
What are you wearing right now??

Mani Monday (+ OPI Hello Kitty Collection Swatches!)
Happy Mani Monday, friends!! My main nail color - Starry Eyed for Dear Daniel was at the request of my girls. They are in love with this extremely PINK glitterbomb from the Hello Kitty for OPI collection (as am I!) and they've both worn it a few times, and have been asking me to wear it, so I did. However, I decided to do an accent nail (main color is Super Cute) with some roses (pink color is Look At My Bow! and red outline is 5 Apples Tall - all colors from the Hello Kitty for OPI collection. If you love pink this collection is for you!)Here are all the colors:
Now - onto the Bachelor finale. Are you Team JoJo or Team Lauren B? I'm all about Lauren B and have been since about the third or fourth episode. The two girls I watch with are Team JoJo, though. Who are you rooting for??

Mani Monday
Happy Mani Monday, everyone! Instead of doing a spooky Halloween-themed mani I decided to go for a Dia de los Muertos one. Dia de los Muertos is being celebrated today (and yesterday) and I love the idea of celebrating your loved ones who have passed on. I love this mani!
The base color is Blacky-O from Sally Hansen's miracle gel line. I love that line because you use it like regular nail polish, but it lasts forever and stays super shiny, like gel, but without the light or annoying removal.
I actually did a better sugar skull on my right hand (which is weird, since I'm right-handed) but honestly neither of them came out amazing.
Here is my left hand:
I hope you guys have a great day, and Happy Dia de los Muertos!

Mani Monday // Feelin' Foxy
Happy Mani Monday! A few days ago I painted my nails with "Florence" by Julep, which is a really gorgeous, creamy nude that goes on and coats perfectly with one coat. But then I decided it needed a little something extra. Feeling inspired by my fox doormat I asked Tony to paint a little fox on, and he free-handed this cutie:
I'm jealous of his artistic skills! What are you guys wearing??

Mani Monday - Neon + Stripes
Happy Mani Monday!
First off - sorry for the lack of posts around these parts. The end of the school year and beginning of Summer is always hectic for us. Between end of the year parties, three separate dance recitals (each with their own full weeks of crazy rehearsal schedules) and finally the girls being home means I have less time to blog (or do anything really!)
Anyways, onto Mani Monday. I'm loving this look. It's a little sloppy because I did it quickly, but I'm still loving it. The main color is #6 by Pretty Please Polish. The white is Alpine Snow and the black for the stripes were done with the Sally Hansen nail art pen in black. (The Sally Hansen nail art pens are awesome!!)
What are you rocking this week? And how is your summer going so far??

Mani Monday - mix and match animals
Happy Mani Monday! I am rocking one of my most random manicures today, but I love it. My thumb and pinky on each hand are bare, but the others have some of my favorite animals. SUPER random, but fun ;)
What are you rocking this week??

Mani Monday - banana leaves
Happy Mani Monday and happy belated Mother's Day to all of you mamas! I hope you had a great day yesterday! Anyways, I was using my favorite clutch and was inspired by the print, so I tried my hand at some banana leaf nail art. Not perfect, but I think it's fun! The base color (white) is "Let's Snow", the darker green is the "lime green striper", and the lighter, super bright green is the AMAZING nail art pen in "chartreuse", all by Sally Hansen. Run, don't walk to get yourself some of those nail art pens!! They make nail art incredibly easy!! In my opinion they're the best thing out there right now for nail art addicts!

Met Ball 2015
Here are some of my favorite looks from this year's event!
I also love how her nails tied in perfectly with her outfit! And I really need to get a matte top coat!
Lilly Aldridge in Carolina Herrera:
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture:
Kate Hudson in Michael Kors:
Dakota Johnson in Chanel:
I know it's a bit hard to see against her gorgeous, reflective mirror dress, but Deborah Lippmann gave her a manicure with the super shiny, deep black creme nail polish "Fade to Black" Just as exciting for a beauty junkie like myself is seeing what some of the most fashionable women in the world are wearing on the nails, what their makeup is looking like and how their hair is!
While I did have quite a few looks I didn't love (Olivia Wilde, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway just to name a few...) I'm just going to leave you with this picture of my very least favorite look:
SJP is quite the fashionista, and has worn some crazy getups, but this head piece is just too much for me.
What do you think?? Have you checked out any of the fun, crazy and interesting ensembles from this year's Met Ball?? What were some of your favorites, and which fell short for you? Let me know!

Mani Monday - Inspired by Anna Rifle Bond
About a week ago, my favorite artist instagrammed this picture, I just loved the dark black background, with the bright flowers and leaves, and the hints of gold and was inspired to do my nails (loosely) based on it. I had some free time while my hair color was processing last week, and started playing with the salon's nail polish and did the base and flower backgrounds of my nails. The base color is Bang the Dream, the flowers are Porn-A-Thon, Psycho Candy and Suburban Warrior. When I got home from the salon I added a little more detail. The gold color is Penny Talk, and the greens and black are from my nail stripers kit. (If you don't have stripers, and love nail art I highly recommend THIS kit - super affordable and really great quality!!)
Here is the result:
I'm no artist, and think I was a little overzealous trying to fit so much onto each nail, but it's fun. It looks better from far away, but I am loving it.
What are you wearing this week??

Mani Monday - Springtime Leopard
Happy Mani Monday, beauties! Last week my girls were on Spring break, and we had so much fun! Today Leila's back (Coco has preschool tomorrow) and it's back to reality!
last weekend we visited my cousin and her family, and had tons of fun! My cousin's wife, Angie happened to be there as well and I hit her up to do my nails :) Angie is a crazy talented nail artist, and if you're ever in the Coarsegold/Fresno area you NEED to make an appointment with her at Coarsegold Nails! Make sure you also follow Angie on Instagram to see more of her gorgeous work!
I can't stop looking at my nails, I'm in love!
Thanks, Angie!! <3
Now, what were YOU rocking on your nails or toes? Make sure to link up, and I'll PIN some faves!

Now onto MY nails - Angie hooked me up with a gorgeous peachy mani, with a pale yellow accent nail, that featured an amazing peach and navy leopard print! Poor Angie didn't have the best tools to work with (super old top coat and a toothpick, and that's it!) but she still blew me away with her amazing work!
I can't stop looking at my nails, I'm in love!

Mani Monday - luck of the Irish!
Happy Mani Monday, loves! Today Glitter and Gloss's monthly nail art contributor, Tiffany is sharing some great, GREEN nails!
Hey there Glitter and Gloss readers! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! I have to say, it's not really a holiday I tend to get into and go all out celebrating, but any excuse for some cool nail art, right? So, today I have some appropriately green nails for you! (You'll have to excuse my index finger for a couple reasons, it's nicked by the cuticle AND my top coat picked up polish from my thumb and smeared it on the nail... so it's kinda jacked up.)
For this design you just need some polish, dotting tools and the regular cleanup supplies. I used China Glaze Def Defying (chartreuse), China Glaze Starboard (grass green) and OPI Live and Let Die (deep sparkly green).
Obviously, this can be done in many different color combos (one of my favorites was turquoise and neon orange!) and everyone's drip designs tend to turn out a little differently. It's not a very precise design so just have fun with it! See ya'll next time!

1. Paint the nails, alternating the lighter greens on each nail. I used 2 coats.
2. Use the brush in the bottle to apply the darkest green polish to the tip of the nail, and use a dotting tool to put 2-4 larger dots on the nail (see ring finger). Then use a smaller dotting tool dipped in the same darkest green polish to drag the drippy lines from each dot to the polish at the free edge of the nail. Then use an even smaller dotting tool to add a few extra drips where needed.
3. Use a top coat on all nails to seal in and protect the design. Be more careful than I did to avoid that index finger fiasco. And you're done!

Love it, Tiffany! Now it's YOUR turn to link up! I can't wait to see your gorgeous nails, and as always I'll be pinning my favorites!

Mani Monday
Happy Mani Monday, everyone! My nails are still looking awesome with my Vinylux mani from last week, so nothing new from me.
I did want to share a cool Super Bowl mani I found on Pinterest, though:

I was sporting nails, inspired by my ridiculously cute Alice and Olivia for Starbucks tumbler:

mani monday
Happy Mani Monday, friends!
This week I wore "Stop, Shop and Roll" by Morgan Taylor. It is such a unique, pretty color!! Morgan Taylor is a new brand to me. They were sweet enough to send me a few of their polishes to try, and I'm a big fan. The brush is short, but wide and it really helps the color go on smooth and even. The entire line is gorgeous, and I currently have my eyes on Glitter & Gold (hello, it's super close to glitter and gloss, obviously I need it!), Later Alligator, Truth or Dare and Wonder Woman. (Let's be real, I have my eye on ALL of them, lol!) They really are so gorgeous, and the formula is just outstanding! To find a salon that carries Morgan Taylor lacquers click HERE.
Also, I am NOT a fan of feet pictures, but have to show you mine from last week (sorry if you're grossed out, I know they're not pretty!) I'm wearing The Blue Roses by Pams & Kin and Wavepool by Floss Gloss, but the big highlight is the great white shark my HUBBY painted on my big toe!! He's good, right?? I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it on the blog but Iam obsessed with loooooooooove sharks! Combine my love of nail art and you've pretty much won my heart forever, and Tony knows that :)
