Kreativ Blogger Award

Thanks to my friend, Heather (if you don't follow her blog you're missing out!) for nominating me for a Kreativ Blogger award!  Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.

3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.

4. Name 7 things about yourself that people may not know.

5. Nominate Kreativ Bloggers.

6. Post links to the blogs you nominate.

7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they’ve been nominated

7 Things You Might Not Know:
1.  I *looooove* sharks.  Not the hockey team, but the ocean predators.  My first tattoo is a great white shark on the top of my foot (really hurt!) but I love it!  Shark week is one of my favorite times of year
2. Speaking of tattoos I have 6:  the shark, a hibiscus on my ankle, a palm tree on my shoulder, 3 plumerias on my wrist representing my little ohana - I'll have to get a new one for Gianna next time we're in Hawaii, a crown on my neck and a big one on my back of hibiscus and plumeria.  Notice the island theme? I really love Hawaii.
3. Speaking of Hawaii my favorite thing to do there (besides drink lava flows and mai tais) is to snorkel.  I always come home with my back crazy tan, and usually an ear infection
4. I love The Doors.  Love, love them and love Leila's Jim Morrisson shirt
5. Here's a really random one - I love "factoids" - random (usually useless) bits of information.  When I worked at Nordstrom and it was slow I'd walk to different makeup counters and write "factoids" on the bottom of the kleenex boxes.  It was like Finding Waldo when you found a new factoid box ; )  Want a factoid now?  The Boston Terrier is also known as The American Gentleman, because it looks like a formally dressed dog.  How's that for random?
6. My awesome friend found a brand new sewing machine for me on Craigslist, and I love it but have still not taken it out of the box.  I haven't had the time, and am bad at teaching myself things.  Who wants to come over and give me lessons?!
7. My favorite flowers are gerber daisies - they were my wedding flowers.

Now, I'm nominating:

Haus of Girls
Team Oliver
The Tom Kat Studio
Paperlili
Heart Hugs Designs

Thanks again, Heather!!

Seriously, can we please set aside a time to go over some basics? (Like how to turn it on, etc.) ;) Sew Sensible sent me two really cute patterns that I'd love to make! (And you can make them for your girls too, of course if you want to)

If you find a sewing class in the Valley, I want to take it with you! I totally want to get into quilting and basic sewing but don't know where to start! My machine has been sitting new and unused for 4 years!
