Amazon (tried & true) fashion finds (including swimsuits!) and fit tips

Amazon is SO great because you can buy just about anything, and quite a bit of it is at an awesome price. I have been a Prime member for years and years, and I think it's worth every penny. In between buying batteries, and toilet paper, and printer ink I've also found some really great fashion pieces, and I thought I'd let you know about my favorites. Each piece below is $25 or less (as of publishing time) and available on Prime. The best part of Prime (besides the two-day shipping) is the free and easy returns. With each piece I've mentioned I've let you know my opinions on how they fit, so I hop you'll find this post helpful. Enjoy!

This incredible tie-dyed maxi dress. SUCH a steal at $24.99 - the quality is awesome, and it is something I would have easily paid twice as much for. It is not nearly as low-cut on me as it is on the model, though you could probably pull it that low if you wanted to. I have THIS dress on my next to-buy list. I don't own it *yet* but I'm almost positive it's the same maker as the maxi dress I already own, so I assume it'll fit the same. Fingers crossed ;) FIT: true to size, to slightly big. I ordered a medium.

This palm-leaf, ruffled one piece. This suit is really pretty!! It has great bust support, and although the back shows a bit more skin than I prefer, it is a great fit, and I feel comfortable in it. FIT: slightly small, I sized up and ordered a large.

This off the shoulder, ruffled pineapple one piece. SO much cuteness in one suit. It has good bust support, when you wear the little straps. I think it's cuter with the straps off (they're removable) and the ruffled bits off the shoulder, but I'm too top heavy for it. I wear the ruffles off the shoulder, and the thin straps where they typically go, and it's perfect. FIT: slightly small, I sized up and ordered a large.

This super flattering, ruched one piece. This suit has great support and is incredibly flattering. I ordered this pretty emerald green color, and would love to get one more. SO good and worth every penny, even if it isn't as "fun" as the previous two suits. FIT: true to size, I ordered a size 8.

These fun SOJOS sunnies. I own them in THIS color too. And I own THIS pair. They're so inexpensive, but super high quality. I just love this brand! FIT: one size fits all.

This super cute knotted tank. I own the blue, though it comes in a few other colors as well.FIT: This runs small for sure. It's adorable, but a bit tight. If you like it a bit looser, size up one size, if you like it down right flowy go up two sizes. I ordered a large.

This oversized lace-up sweater. I know we are currently in summer, but I bought this in late Fall and am obsessed. Buy your true size, and it fits slightly oversized and looks super cute with skinny jeans, or leggings. The tie up front can show a tiny peak of bra, but it isn't overtly sexy (although the model wears it as a dress, so I'm sure this is meant to be a sexier piece than how I wear it.) This is a really cute piece, and I get compliments on it every time I wear it! FIT: true to size gives it a good oversized, but not too big look. I ordered a medium.

Those are my favorite budget-friendly fashion finds from Amazon (SO FAR!) I'm always ordering new things, so I'll add to this post or create new ones with more seasonally-appropriate items. What are some of the best things you've purchased from Amazon?? Feel free to leave links in the comments!

Five Must-Have Wardrobe Pieces For Fall 2016

Not that you need a complete wardrobe overhaul with every passing season, but when the weather changes there are definitely a few pieces I like to add into my wardrobe. Here are my picks for Fall 2016:

A hat hides a multitude of sins, including but not limited to: greasy hair, puffy eyes, no makeup face, sleepy mama, etc. I love throwing on a hat because I instantly feel put together. Any time I wear a hat to my girls school it never fails that at least one fellow mama will say something along the lines of "You look so cute, I wish I could pull off a hat!" Newsflash: If you have a head you can pull off a hat. Just put it on and wear it with confidence. ANYONE can pull off a wide-brimmed hat, I promise! (Same with a bold lip color, but I digress....)

I love THIS hat from Cents of Style, THIS one from Amazon and THIS one from Nordstrom. (On sale!)

I love ankle booties year-round, but there's something about the fall that makes me want to wear them every single day! I live in ankle booties or flip flops, depending on the season. They look great with denim, dresses, leggings - EVERYTHING! When you invest in a quality pair they last season after season. The ones I'm wearing in the far right picture are at least ten years old!

I love THESE from Cents of Style (couldn't pick a favorite pair!), THESE from Nordstrom (worth every penny, and now on sale!!) and THESE from Amazon (available in tons of colors, with great reviews!)

A moto-vest gives off instant cool vibes, and adds chicness to any outfit. Throw it over a long-sleeved tee, a sweater (graphic or solid) or a swing dress. I found an awesome moto vest at TJ Maxx, but HERE are a ton of great, inexpensive options in a variety of colors. I also love THIS one from Nordstrom if you're wanting to splurge a bit.

How amazing is a blanket scarf? You're wrapped in comfort and warmth, all while looking super cute. You can find them online pretty inexpensively, and even in stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. You can find a bunch of simple tutorials on how to style/wrap them HERE.

I love THESE from Amazon (I own several, and have given several as gifts! They are awesome!!), THESE from Cents of Style and THIS one from Nordstrom (on sale!)

The swing dress - like pajamas, only acceptable to wear in public ;) Seriously though, you can easily dress them up or down, about a zillion different ways. I posted about them HERE and I really do love them.

Some of my favorites are THESE ones from Cents of Style, the Carly Style from LuLaRoe (if you don't have a consultant you can join my friend, Alyssa's group HERE) and THESE ones from Target.

Those are my top five picks for fall fashion, and they can all be mixed and matched and worn together in various ways. What are some of YOUR fashion must-haves for the season??

Three Things

1. The Remi Swing Dress from Cents of Style. It's available in 17 different colors, in sizes small - 3XL. Everyone needs this dress. Super versatile, can be dressed up or down, and super comfortable! And today only you can get it on major sale - only $21.95 and free shipping with code DRESS2016

For a super quick, but still slightly dressed up look I like to throw on a long pendant necklace (I'm wearing THIS one) and a long, knit sweater vest. Dresses the look up, but you're still as comfy as if you were wearing pajamas. I also love to wear a swing dress with:

Seriously - you neeeeeeeed this dress. In a least three different colors ;) Snag it HERE (and don't forget to use code DRESS2016 for the awesome sale price. Today only!)

2. Inklings Coffee in downtown Pleasanton. This fun coffee shop just opened up, but it looks like it's been there forever. The decor is beautiful and welcoming, and the coffee is AMAZING!!! It is my favorite place to go on coffee dates with friends. And if you go - try the lavender latte, you will thank me later!

3. Anniversaries! It's mine and Tony's eleventh wedding anniversary on Sunday. This time last year we were in St. Lucia - take me back!!

What are YOUR three things this week??

Spring Dresses for Every Budget

For the majority of my life I have not been a dress girl, though I am finding myself becoming one more and more. {I was in my cousin's wedding over the weekend, and wore a bridesmaid dress - I don't think my husband has ever told me "You look so beautiful" more than he did that night, *and* he asked me to start wearing dresses more. This guy never tries to dictate my style, but I thought it was a sweet request, and one that I will happily oblige!} I have always loved wearing a dress on Easter though, and I am currently on the hunt for the perfect one to wear this year. Not only do I need a great dress to wear on Easter, but one that will last me all Spring, and maybe longer. We are soon approaching my favorite season for outdoor festivities, which means a fun new dress or two. Here are some of my current favorites:

Flutter Maxi Dress in Blush - $29.99 // I love this dress, and might just have to buy it for myself. The colors and print just scream SPRING to me!

Eyelet Slip Dress - $39.94 // I love the darling eyelet detailing on this sweet dress! This cutie will last well into summer!

Lark & Ro Smoky Maxi - $69.50 // This beauty on Amazon has the prettiest print, in some fun unexpected spring colors.

Alexia Fit & Flare Dress - $86 // How freaking cute is the gingham?? I especially love the contrasting smaller print gingham on the sleeve cuff and underneath. I also love THIS dress by Shabby Apple, and THIS one too. I need to stay off of this site - too much cuteness!

Lucky Brand Floral Maxi - $129 // I saw this at the Lucky store at the mall and immediately fell in love. The print is truly beautiful, and the quality is awesome! The dress is fully lined, and will work perfectly all Spring into Summer. Throw on a jean jacket and some tall boots and wear it into the Fall too!

Butterfly Garden Dress - $198 // Sigh. This is too gorgeous! The butterflies and wildflowers all over this beauty are so feminine and delicate. I want, I want, I want!

The perfect shoes to go with any of these spring dresses (in my opinion) are the Jamila Sandals (on sale now!) by MIA.
And I think THIS cute little number is the perfect bag.

What do you guys think?? Do you love to wear dresses? Do you save them for a special occasion? Let me know!

Golden Globes Fashion

Who else loves award show season? More than anything I love watching the stars walk down the red carpet in their fashions - some extraordinarily gorgeous, some straight out crazy. All fun! My girls are both at an age where they love the red carpet too. Us three came up with our favorites (and least favorites) I know a handful of them will be "controverial" - especially one of my picks for worst dressed, because I saw her on a few "best dressed" lists just today, but bear with me. Here are my picks.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad. I think that midnight blue color, the plunging neckline and the sparkle are gorgeous on her!

Brie Larson. (Shocker - I'm a sucker for gold glitter.) I love this Calvin Klein gown on her. Not many bodies could pull that off!

Corinne Fox in Pablo Sebastian. She was also "Miss Golden Globes" and Jamie Foxx's daughter. I think she looks so gorgeous, and the color and details of this dress are dreamy!

This is the one I'm thinking might be a tad controversial. Jennifer Lawrence in Dior. The dress itself is quite pretty. But the styling - maybe specifically her hair? has me thinking that this look is way too old for her. She's only 25, and I'm feeling like this look ages her quite a bit. Thoughts?

Regina King in Krikor Jabotian. Ugh.  She looks like she's wearing tin foil. I don't like the material, or the awkward slit straight up the front. Probably my least favorite look of the night. I do love that it shows off her killer arms, though!

Leslie Mann in Monique Lhullier. This whole look was completely off to me. The color was gorgeous, but maybe not the best color on her, and the choker necklace especially threw the look off off for me. I love her, but not this look.

The following looks are not necessarily bad, I just wasn't loving them for one reason or another.

Channing Tatum's hair. NOPE. Just nope.

Rachel Bloom in Christian Siriano. I loooooove her as an actress, and love her show "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." This look wasn't terrible - the gown itself is pretty! I just feel like it was ill-fitting on top, with boob over-spill. It wasn't so noticeable in still shots, but when she was moving at all those puppies were all over the place.

Another possible controversial one. Jaime Alexander in Genny. At first this was on the top of my list. The color is stunning and absolutely perfect on her. I just don't know how I feel about the pattern. I think it was accessorized beautifully with emeralds, and everything about this brought out her gorgeous eyes.

What do YOU think?? Who were your picks for best and worst this year?

My NFL Fan Style

Thank you NFL for sponsoring this post. Check out #MyNFLFanStyle and create your own look at NFLShop.com!

I live in a house divided. Ok, ok, that's a tad dramatic. But myself (and my entire family) are crazy 49ers fans, while Tony is a lifelong Raiders fan. It's not ideal, but we somehow make it work. Neither of our teams are very good this year, but there is still plenty of trash talking. I was recently given the opportunity to pick out some pieces from NFL Shop, and was so pumped about the huge women's selection. The website is great, super user friendly and (seriously!!) I found so many pieces that I wanted, that it was hard to narrow it down to the ones I couldn't live without. I ordered my pieces, and got notification that they were delivered when we were in New Orleans (shipping is incredibly quick!)  I couldn't wait to wear everything as soon as I got home.

A few days ago Tony and I were decorating the outside of the house for Christmas, and he was wearing a Raiders beanie. Obviously I had to represent my Niners, so  I opted for my cute 49ers vest. Tony (and my neighbor) said it should have been a Raiders vest. Crazies.

I also rocked my super cute 49ers Super Bowl bracelet. Judging by this season so far it's looking like it'll be a while before my Niners are back in the Super Bowl, so I will wear this bracelet with pride, and remember their glory days, knowing they're sure to come back ;)

After we were done decorating we headed out for a cup of coffee, and I was feeling a bit chillier so I threw on a jacket and hat.

A classic (p)leather jacket, jeans, animal print shoes and your team's hat is perfect for a casual day. I love my Niners, and #MyNFLFanStyle has a way of working itself into my wardrobe often!

My Super Bowl bracelet is a daily staple!

I don't always wear red, but when I do it's 49ers red.

You can find all of my women's 49ers gear (and your favorite team's gear if you aren't a diehard Niners fan like myself) at The NFL Shop. I love gifting my favorite girls with some cute NFL gear (unless they're Raiders fans. Or Seahawks fans. Or Cowboys fans...) and I can always rely on the NFL Shop to have a great selection. Who is your favorite team?? Do you wear their gear proudly?!

You can follow NFL Fan Style on instagram * facebook * twitter

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
