Three Things

1. Amazon will soon let customers try on clothes before buying them! You can read the entire article HERE but basically Amazon will soon let Prime customers order pieces of clothing, and not charge them. Customers will be able to try them on, send back what they don't love, keep what they do, and they'll only be charged for what they keep. Score!

2. Swim lessons!! This girl has improved by leaps and bounds since she started two weeks ago. She still has another two week session, and we are really hoping (and praying!) for no regression, as in years past, but I have high hopes! Coco definitely has more of an aversion to the water than a lot of kids, but she did so well at this last swim lessons session. I'm proud of my girl!

3. Target's Photoshop-free swimsuit ad campaign. What a breath of fresh air! High five to Target for showing beautiful women, without airbrushing away stretch marks or anything else!!

Three Things

1. The summer teas at Teavana. YUM!! I received the piƱa colada and peach bellini teas for my birthday, and have since gone back to buy more of each, as well as the strawberry daiquiri one. You guys - if you have a Teavana store nearby you MUST go over, and try some samples. They are beyond delicious!! The samples they make at the store have more sugar than I add when I make them at home, but you'll at least get the taste idea. Even my kids who don't like tea love the strawberry and peach ones, and they are low in sugar + caffeine free, so I don't mind them having it. Refreshing and perfect for summer!!

2. Swim lessons. Swimming is a struggle for Coco. We are going to remedy that this summer. Fingers and toes crossed!

3. Slow hands - this is my current favorite song.

Three Things

1. THIS breakdown of 14 big-batch cocktails that won't break the budget. Summer is unofficially officially here, and with that LOTS of summer gatherings! I feel like at minimum once a week we are going to a BBQ at friends, or hosting something ourselves. We always provide adult bevvies and I am for sure going to be trying out some of these. I think the first I'll be making is that Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade. Yum!

2. Travel Ball. We resisted the last three summers, but finally let Leila play travel tournament softball over the summer. She is a darn good pitcher, and she's loved playing softball in the recreational league, but is ready to step up her game. She had her first tournament last weekend and has already made fast friends with all of the girls on her team. I think travel ball will provide her with a lot of great playing time, but also a lot of great memories and friendships. Our wallets are now a lot lighter, and our weekends don't seem like they'll ever be free again, but I'm looking forward to this fun, new chapter!

3. Lauren Conrad came out with a swimwear line for Kohl's, and it is SO cute!! It's really reasonably priced, and I'm especially digging THIS cute one-piece, although I don't know how it would be for us busty girls!

Three Things

Wowzers - just realized this is the first blog post since last week's Three Things! Sorry about that, it's been a busy week!

1. Coco lost her second tooth, by pulling it out during a softball game!!

2. I saw this quote and immediately saved it to my phone. Who else remembers singing songs at the top of their lungs, only to make up half of the lyrics and years later find out they were wrong?!

3. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was awesome! Tony and I saw it this week and really enjoyed it. The storyline is fun, Chris Pratt is great, and the effects were pretty incredible. Just like the first movie the soundtrack is pretty killer too!

Three Things

1. The new Lady Bag by Barrington gifts. So stinking cute!! I'm having way too much fun playing with personalization options on their website. Ok, while we're at it I'm pretty in love with the Nantucket Tote too!

2. This cute, little J. Crew style hacks video. I love the super simple idea of wrapping a scarf around the handle of a basket bag. (I'm on the hunt for a basket bag, so if you see any cool ones that don't cost a small fortune please let me know!)

3. THESE shoes. I posted about them on Instagram. And Facebook. But they're so darn cute and comfy that I think they're worth posting about here too!

Three Things

1. The Wonders (formerly known as The Oneders) reunited in LA! That Thing you Do is one of my favorites, it would have been so fun to see this in person!

2. THIS hilarious video of a girl doing makeup on her sleeping dad. (And if he was just pretending to be asleep, what a good sport!)

3. THIS shirt from August Ink. I looooooove me a good graphic tee, and August Ink makes some of the best! I've owned quite a few shirts from this shop, and they are the comfiest, most flattering fit. Obsessed!

Three Things

 1. The Girl Before by JP Delaney. WOWZERS!!! I read this in two sit downs. It was definitely a page-turner that I just couldn't stop reading. I didn't see the ending coming, which is fun for me. Definitely a must-read!

2. The new Lavender Creme tea from Teavana. You guys, this tea tastes like a decadent dessert! I tried a sample in-store and immediately bought the big tin! I usually just get the little two ounce baggies, but had to go big on this one. It's that good! If you're near a Teavana store, go in and try a sample and just try not to fall in love!
3. I adore Bobbi Brown, the makeup artist! When I worked for Stila at Nordstrom I shared a "bay" with the Bobbi Brown counter, and after I left Nordstrom I did some freelance work for Bobbi Brown events all around the Bay Area. I have always loved her natural approach to beauty, and THIS great interview with her reminds me of why I think she's such a badass!

Three Things

1. This adorable "face vase" that I got randomly enough from Orchard Supply Hardware when Tony and I were shopping for flowers. I can't find it online to link for you guys, but it was only $5.99 in the outdoor garden section, tucked in with other vases. HERE is a similar one from target (which I also have) but it's quite a bit smaller. I'm using the one from OSH for my makeup brushes ;)

2. I saw "The Sleep Styler" on Shark Tank and am DYING to try them!! They are supposed to dry and style your hair while you sleep, and I'm intrigued. Has anyone tried them? I would love to hear your thoughts!

3. The Whole Foods beauty sale!! It only happens once a year and it's on now (through March 28.) Makeup and skincare are 25% off, and they have so many hidden gems! I am actually taking over the Whole Foods Tri-Valley instagram today and tomorrow (follow HERE) so please say hello! Below is their limited edition beauty bag filled with goodies. It's retailing for $18, but worth over $90. If you want one RUN to your nearest Whole Foods!

Three Things

1. One of the cutest things I've seen in a long time is this sweet little girl (of  the daddy-daughter duo who sang the Toy Story song) singing with the sweet Auli'i Cravalho, who plays Moana.

 2. DYING over this video!! I feel like when I'm looking cute I see no one. When I'm the hot mess express I see everyone. Could you even imagine running into someone famous?! lol!

3. Award season manis. HERE are some gorgeous manicures at the Oscars. Which is your favorite?

Three Things

1. The new field fresh chopped salad from Trader Joe's. They were sampling this about a week ago and I was instantly hooked. Super filling, super delicious!

2. THIS great article on how to empower our daughters. Most definitely worth the read.

3. The Target markdown schedule! Where are my fellow Target-a-holics?? This handy little schedule is good to keep on-hand for when you're hoping something will go on clearance (or be further reduced!)

Three Things

1. 18 3-ingredient desserts that aren't terrible for you. What would you most want to try?

2. This fun article about who the big male heartthrob was the year that you were born. In my birth year, 1983 it seems everyone was swooning over Matt Dillon. I concur, what a cutie!

3. 10 high-protein casseroles. I LOOOOOOVE casseroles, but generally speaking they're not exactly healthy. This article shares ten high-protein casseroles that aren't (completely) loaded with cheese and other delicious, other un-healhy things. Everything in moderation, right?

Three Things

1. THESE JEANS!! Worthy of exclamation marks, I promise ;) I have long been a fan of Target's Mossimo-brand jeans. They're thirty bucks, high quality and available in a bunch of styles. I only recently picked up a pair of their Denizen by Levi's jeans and, SWOON! They aren't available in nearly as many styles as my beloved Mossimo jeans (I bought the Modern Skinny style), but the fit and feel is incredible. I've only worn them once since buying and have had three different people ask if I've lost weight (I haven't, it's the jeans!!) They're regularly only $27.99, but on sale right now for $19.99 (but I believe only through Sunday, so snap some up at a steal while you can!)

2. THIS article on the best plants for low light. One of my latest instagram posts was about how I'm trying to keep houseplants alive this year (fingers crossed!) so the timing of this article was spot on.

3. THIS great article, about 63-year-old style blogger Lyn Slater. Fun, quick read about an inspiring woman!

Three Things

1. THIS dress. I have a winter wedding coming up and nothing to wear. Ordered this dress (honestly) thinking that it wouldn't work out, but it came and it looks great! And as my husband pointed out I can dress up as Merida for Halloween next year. ;) Great fit, great quality and true to size. It comes in a few different colors, and for under thirty bucks you can't beat it!

2. Hummus-crusted chicken. I believe I've shared this recipe before, but it's worth another. This meal is simple, healthy and delicious! Feeds and pleases my entire family.

3. A break in the rain! If you're in the Bay Area you've been getting soaked. Ugh! The news officially said that the Bay Area is out of the drought, so stop raining for a while. Please and thank you.

Three Things

1. Friendsgiving! I saw a commercial that said something like "Friendsgiving - invite who you want, not who you must!" Last night I went to my first ever Friendsiving, and have another one to go to on Saturday. I just love this idea!

Here are some great Friendsgiving recipes and ideas.

2. The most perfect, comfortable-chic shirt for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving - ANYTIME!!! Get it here.

3. THIS fantastic write-up on my beloved Livermore wine country! We are pretty spoiled to have all this practically in our backyard!

Three Things

1. My love of Gavin Degraw's music is nothing new. I saw him (and met him!) in August and it was truly amazing. He was on tour with Wrabel (also amazing!) and Andy Grammar. Anyways, a few weeks ago I heard Gavin and Andy Grammar do a mash up of some of their hits on the radio. I knew I had to find a video to share:

2. The Holiday Spiced Sweet Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks. Try saying that ten times fast. Seriously, though - run to Starbucks and enjoy one (or two!) before it gets too chilly to do so. YUM!

3. Friends, as a lot of you know I had an amazing RevePeel at Dr. Mariotti's ofice last week. I am taking daily pictures, and documenting the whole thing for an in-depth blog post that I will be sharing when my skin is done healing. (So far I am really excited about the results and can't wait to be completely healed!)
Anyways, the reason I'm posting right now is to let you know that the office is having a big holiday party next Tuesday night, and they are offering some incredible specials. If you have any skincare questions or concerns, you absolutely must go! The founder of the Revepeel, herself will be there, along with the incredible medical aesthetician who performed my peel, Tricia. If you would like to go, simply call (925.685.4533) or email (kristina@drmariotti.com) the office and mention Heather Giustino Blog to get on the guest list. There will be giveaways, and specials all night long, with amazing catered food and drinks. I hope you can make it!
